The control allows easy navigation between modes and delivers a developer focused object model that allows results to be obtained with very little code.

Appointments can be created within the control or an external data source specified facilitating integration with existing applications. Appointment recurrence and reminders provide a way to create regular appointments and keep track of when they are due to occur. Multiple controls can be linked together to synchronise display between modes.

• Customisable toolbar The toolbar is configurable and allows the developer to add their own images to create buttons within the toolbar. When clicked, the toolbar fires an event that can be used to determine the button pressed and execute some custom functionality

• Buttons for day/week/month navigation The day navigation buttons allow the user to change the date shown by the control, the buttons allow the user to change the date by increments of 1 day, week, month or year
• Multiple working times The control allows the specification of multiple working times on a weekly basis. For each of these working times, the start and end time and the days upon which they occur can be defined. The control can also be configured to show just the portion of the day the falls within these working times or show the entire day
• Customisable day length The day start and end hours can be specified which will constrain the portion of the day shown within the control. Working times are shown within this area and the day can be further constrained to just shown the period of the day the falls within the working hours if required
• Customisable time format The timebar features a wide variety of time formatting options that should suit all requirements
• Appointment dialog The supplied appointment dialog allows the entry and maintenance of appointments within the control. This dialog can be overriden by capturing the appropriate events to allow any functionality desired when an appointment might be added or edited

• Customisable interval length The interval length can be set to any value between 1 and 1440 minutes (1 day). This allows the control to display and manage appointments in blocks of time within a day

• Data binding Databinding allows the control to easily display data from an external source such as a database
• Appointment recurrence and reminders Appointments can have recurrence, where an appointment occurs more than once with a pre determined interval. Recurrence can be defined with daily, weekly, monthly or yearly intervals and rules can be specified to select the days on which recurring appointments will occur
• Multiple appointment images The appointment object defines a collection of images to display on the control

• Zoom facility Zoom mode attempts to fit the displayed day(s) onto the screen by shrinking the size of each interval. This mode allows the user to see an overview of the day(s) events without having to scroll
• Built in designers The built in designers allow complex properties to be defined in design mode
• Automatic appointment overlapping When appointments overlap, the available space is divided up to display overlapping appointments side by side, this occurs even in Dayview mode, when appointments are snapped to their containing timeslots
• Only display working times
• Current date and time highlighted The current date is highlighted in each view mode and in Dayview mode, when the current date is selected, the current timeslot is highlighted in the time bar and the current time marked within this highlighted area
• Customisable Titles The text displayed in the title bar is, by default, appropriate to the displayed day range, however it can be customised in several ways. The date format of the title bar can be specified if a particular format is required or a static string supplied to fix the title. If the control displays multiple days in Dayview mode, the date format for each day column can be specified
• All day appointments All Day Appointments display in the all day banner at the top of the day area. The all day area can be configured to grow to fit all the appointments for each day or can be constrained to display a set number of appointments
