Dave Stevinson
Group Chief Executive Officer
With a 20-year background in leadership at several global technology firms and five years transforming regional distributors, Dave has a passion for software and is keen on data analytics and process automation in particular. He holds a BSc (Hons) from Lancaster University, an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School and is on the Harvard Business School OPM programme. Dave was recognised by Bloomberg as a Breakaway CEO in the 2019 EMEA cohort and is a regional finalist in the EY 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year. He is a keen rackets and court tennis player.
Charlie Heald
Group Chief Financial Officer
Charlie joined QBS as Chief Financial Officer in 2025, bringing with him a wealth of experience from some of the UK’s most respected tech companies. With a strong background in commercial finance, investor relations, and corporate development, Charlie plays a key role in shaping QBS’s financial strategy and supporting the company’s ambitious growth across Europe and beyond.
Known for his honest, collaborative, and commercially savvy approach, Charlie excels at bridging the gap between finance and non-finance teams—helping stakeholders across the business make confident, data-driven decisions. His leadership is characterised by clarity, balance, and a deep understanding of what drives sustainable financial performance in the fast-moving technology sector.
Prior to joining QBS, Charlie held senior finance roles at FTSE250-listed Softcat, where he spent nearly nine years supporting the company’s exceptional growth journey. As Director of Commercial Finance and Investor Relations, he was instrumental in driving profitability, navigating cost and governance challenges, and identifying opportunities for strategic development. He also played key interim roles at Rightmove and Perspicuity, where he supported high-stakes decisions including budget planning and M&A activity.
At QBS, Charlie is focused on strengthening financial governance, accelerating value creation, and enabling the business to scale efficiently through smart investment and sound financial leadership.
Matthew Lee
Group Chief Development Officer
With a 12-year background in finance and M&A, and having founded and scaled an M&A focussed business, Matt has a passion for acquisitions and developing businesses. He holds a BA (Hons) in Business Management and Accountancy, and is an ACA chartered accountant with the ICAEW. Outside of work Matt is a keen motorsports enthusiast and enjoys the odd round of golf.
Oliver Roth
Group Chief Commercial Officer
Oliver graduated in Business Administration at the Julius Maximilian University in Würzburg. Upon successful completion, Oliver Roth began working for the company BTB in Leinfelden - Echterdingen. The focus of his work at this software and consulting house was on marketing and project sales for enterprise software solutions. After moving to Distributor Avnet Technology Solutions, he was responsible for IBM Software as a key account manager. Further stages of his career were the distributors Bell Micro and DNS (today Arrow ECS). There, Oliver Roth managed teams in the areas of sales and product marketing for software solutions. At the beginning of 2009 Oliver Roth decided to join the company management of Prianto GmbH as a shareholder.
Steven Turner
Group Chief Legal Officer
Steven is a qualified lawyer with over 15 years’ experience in a wide range of roles. He began his career as a litigator at international law firm Eversheds Sutherland working in their Manchester, Shanghai and Hong Kong offices. In 2018 he transitioned to an in-house role as the head of the legal and compliance team at telecommunications distributor Nycomm/Nimans. There he played a key role in the company’s sale to the Midwich Group, a UK PLC. Steven joined QBS in May 2022 and is responsible for overseeing all risk, compliance and governance matters across the organisation.
Marcus Denner
Managing Director Europe
Marcus Denner has been working in various positions in the IT industry since graduating with a degree in business informatics in 2004. He has joined the QBS Software GmbH team 2013, first as Key Account Manager, then from 2016 on as Head of Sales, and since 2022 as Managing Director Europe. Together with the managing directors, Marcus has developed QBS Software GmbH into one of the leading non-standard distributors in Europe.
Dave Gooley
Group Financial Controller
A chartered accountant since 2011, Dave completed five years in audit with BDO in New Zealand before transferring to London. He has worked across a range of sectors and business sizes and has experience with both UK GAAP and IFRS reporting and consolidations for international groups. Before joining QBS in 2018, Dave was Group Financial Controller of a private-equity backed business.
Ikramul Khaled
Group Head of Vendor Alliances
Ikramul has been with QBS since 2018 and has been instrumental in developing the Publisher Success department. With his background in consumer sales and a passion for software and technology, he has created and executed go-to-market strategies for key partners while building an engaged and driven team. Ikram has completed a leadership programme to enhance his coaching and management skills, and he has a keen interest in music, occasionally playing the guitar.
Claire Stott
Group Head of Marketing
With over 12-years of marketing experience and 9-years of management experience, Claire is responsible for the group marketing strategy for QBS Technology Group and leads the regional marketing teams to deliver effective marketing campaigns on behalf of its vendor network.
Claire has experience within the industries of cybersecurity SaaS distribution, commercial property development, retail and leisure asset management in addition to 5-years of account management experience for point-of-sale and merchandising campaign delivery for global blue-chip and designer brands.
Jonathan Beswick
Group Head of IT
Jonathan has over 25 years’ experience in all areas of IT, from ERP Systems, BI, Infrastructure, Strategy and Procurement. Jonathan has a proven track record of implementing complex projects throughout UK and Europe in various industries from E-comm, Distribution and Manufacturing. He is passionate about technology and how that can enhance and simplify how we operate in out day to day.
Therese Stevinson
Group Sustainability & Diversity Officer
Responsible for both the ESG and DEI programmes in QBS, Therese has a background in corporate identification and communication for a number of public sector and private companies. Therese supports the local community with several pro bono projects and is extremely passionate about sustainability and carbon neutrality. Therese has been the driving force behind QBS becoming independently certified as carbon neutral in 2021 and achieving a high score on the B Corporation impact assessment.
Marlene Fürst
Group Lead Renewal Management
After graduating from high school, Marlene started her dual training as a businesswoman for office communication at a software manufacturer for German public authorities. She has remained loyal to the software industry ever since. In 2013, her path led her to QBS Software GmbH, where she was responsible for process optimization and business operations in sales-, pricing- & purchasing management. Since 2017 she was in charge of the Renewal Management for the EMEA region and due to her expertise, results and high commitment she is now Group Lead Renewal Management for the entire QBS group since November 2021.
Melissa Lanza
Group Pricing and Sourcing Manager
Melissa is a highly qualified professional, holding a diploma from the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). She has 8 years of experience managing vendors and publishers at QBS, and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of business relationships. She is passionate about achieving excellence and strives to maximize her impact.
Thomas Kasper
European Vice President
Thomas brings a wealth of executive leadership experience to QBS, with a strong track record of driving growth and leading high-performing sales and marketing teams across the DACH region. As our European Vice President, he plays a pivotal role in expanding QBS’s footprint in key European markets, blending strategic foresight with operational excellence.
With deep expertise in both building new business segments and optimising established operations, Thomas is known for his results-driven approach and strong focus on cost-efficiency and profitability. His leadership is defined by clarity of vision, customer-centric thinking, and an unwavering commitment to sustainable growth.
Thomas is passionate about building cohesive, empowered teams that deliver exceptional value to partners and customers alike. His distinctive ability to align people, process, and performance has consistently translated into strong market presence and long-term commercial success.
Alex Morelis
Head of Operational Excellence
QBS is proud to have Alex leading our Service Delivery operations, bringing over 20 years of global experience across the ICT sector, including more than a decade within B2B software and SaaS organisations. His international background spans EMEA, APAC, and North America, with a strong focus on delivering complex telecoms and software solutions for both SMB and enterprise clients.
Alex specialises in scaling and optimising service delivery functions for high-growth and start-up environments. His expertise lies in strategic and tactical planning, driving operational excellence across the full customer lifecycle, from onboarding through to long-term retention. His leadership has consistently translated into faster time-to-value, stronger revenue realisation, and best-in-class customer satisfaction and retention.
At QBS, Alex plays a key role in aligning operational strategy with business goals, leveraging frameworks such as OKRs and KPIs to deliver measurable impact. His areas of expertise include operational consulting, M&A readiness and integration, change and programme management, cost control, and continuous improvement.
He has led and developed cross-functional, high-performing teams covering Professional Services, Technical Engineering, Customer Care, Incident and Account Management, Client Success, Infrastructure, Training, Software Development, and Data Analysis. With hands-on experience in agile and ITIL environments, Alex brings a balanced, results-driven approach to service delivery that supports QBS’s mission to provide seamless software distribution at scale.

Andreea Dumitrescu
Managing Director UK&I
Andreea has worked at QBS since 2010 and is experienced across the business, with hands-on expertise in cross-functional team leadership, strategic sourcing, IT procurement, supplier management and business operations. She possesses a track record of achievements and a proven ability to increase productivity while building successful partnerships. Her BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, combined with the MBA in Digital Innovation Management from Brunel Business School, have enabled her to maximize efficiency and generate sustainable growth.
Brian Daden
Head of Sales
After graduating with a law degree from the University of East Anglia in 2014, Brian Daden embarked on a vibrant career in the cybersecurity sector, accumulating nearly ten years of sales expertise. Boasting a rich array of experiences and a demonstrable record of success, Brian adeptly leads the MSP Team and oversees a group of account managers, handling QBS' major resellers. He plays a pivotal role in spearheading key customer relationships, a testament to his proven ability to cultivate and inspire his teams, consistently resulting in exceptional business achievements.
Martin Clarke
Account Director
At QBS since 2015, Martin joined with a wealth of knowledge and experience of the IT reseller ecosystem, having previously worked as an account manager at two enterprise resellers. Managing some of QBS' largest accounts, Martin is a methodical, organised leader and quick-thinking problem solver who uses his experience to provide effective solutions while ensuring the partner receives the best quality service.
James Mulvey
Sales Manager MSP Division
With almost a decade of experience in the world of software sales, James is adept at developing partner relationships and communicating concisely. He is responsible for streamlining partners' software procurement journeys, not only by recommending solutions, but also by promoting monthly billing and keeping all informed of the latest industry trends, particularly around network security. James has a passion for the great outdoors and enjoys cycling, running and all racket sports.

Niraj Patel
Account Director
Niraj is an ambitious account director with over 15 years of software sales experience and the desire to learn and achieve a lot more as his career progresses. His qualifications in computer science combined with his sales, business development and technical experience, makes him a well-rounded account manager. He has a great track record of success and has extensive knowledge of tier 3 & 4 software vendors.
Thiviya Pathmakandan
Renewals Team Leader
Thiviya has a proven track record of working with vendors and customers to build and maintain strong and effective relationships over the past 5 years. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, and is currently working towards a CMI-accredited People Leadership qualification. Thiviya is committed to achieving high retention rates for managed vendors, as well as mentoring and coaching team members to ensure a highly efficient team.
Carmen Ciobotaru
Operations Manager
Carmen has been with QBS for over 8 years. With her solutions-oriented mindset, Carmen formulates and drives a high-standard approach towards all business operations. She is responsible for coaching and mentoring several teams, and ensures that all activities support and strengthen the company’s strategic objectives. She is passionate about learning and development, and is currently enrolled on a People Leadership programme, boosting her management skills and confidence as a professional and as a leader.

Praven Pillay
Country Manager | South Africa
Praven joined QBS Technology upon the acquisition of Maxtec, with over 25 years of experience in the Information Technology sector, and is one of South Africa’s leading experts in cybersecurity. Based in Johannesburg, he plays a strategic leadership role in expanding QBS’s presence across the region, driving value for partners through his deep technical insight and strong commercial acumen.
Before joining QBS, Praven served as Managing Director at Maxtec, where he spent nearly two decades helping the company grow into a trusted name in cybersecurity distribution. His expertise lies in developing robust cybersecurity strategies, building compliance frameworks, and executing complex technical implementations for large enterprises and service providers. His work has been instrumental in shifting many organisations from reactive to proactive cybersecurity models.
Alex Tatham
Independent Non-Executive Director
Alex joined QBS in 2024, bringing with him over 25 years of leadership experience in the technology sector. Prior to joining QBS, he served as Executive Director at Westcoast Limited – the UK’s largest technology distributor and one of the country’s largest privately owned businesses – where he played a pivotal role in driving strategic growth, overseeing sales, marketing, and business development across the UK, Europe, and international markets.
During his tenure at Westcoast, he helped steer the business through a period of extraordinary expansion, leading the company to an 800% increase in turnover and achieving over £5 billion in annual sales by 2024. His deep understanding of the IT channel, combined with a proven ability to align market trends with business opportunities, has made him a respected figure across the technology industry.
At QBS, Alex is focused on accelerating growth, strengthening partner relationships, and positioning the business as a leading software delivery platform across Europe and beyond. He is passionate about empowering teams, delivering long-term value to customers and vendors, and championing diversity and inclusion within the technology sector.
Luke Jones
Investor
After graduating from the University of Nottingham with a BSc Honours degree in Physics, Luke joined PricewaterhouseCoopers where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He then worked in Deloitte’s corporate finance advisory team before joining MML.
Kev James
Independent Non-Executive Director
Kev play a key role in providing strategic guidance to the executive team, enhancing the company’s profile within the broader software sector, and supporting key initiatives in market positioning, strategic partnerships, M&A activity, and overall sales and marketing strategy. I also serve as an ambassador, furthering QBS Software’s industry standing.

QBS Software was founded in 1987. In 2001 we celebrated record growth by opening our new London HQ. Since 2019, our parent company, QBS Technology Group, has been carefully acquiring companies that add value to our customers and extend our European presence.
