Project Reader

Software application which lets you open, print and export Microsoft Project MPP files ,Microsoft Project MPT files , Microsoft Project XML files or Microsoft Project Database format (Access, SQL Server, Oracle) without requiring MS Project.

K-SOL Project Viewer is a software application for opening, printing and exporting Microsoft Project MPP files, Microsoft Project MPT files, Microsoft Project XML files or Microsoft Project Database format (Access, SQL Server, Oracle) without using Microsoft Project.

Editions

• Project Reader Standard Edition: open projects saved in MPP, MPT, XML and MPD/MDB file formats (Access)

Project Reader - Features

Project Reader can show the projects created with Microsoft Project and stored in MPP format, XML format or in the database format. It enables to view the project data in the form of Gantt Diagram, Resource Sheet, Task Usage and Resource Usage.

The difference between the standard edition and professional edition consists in more possibilities to open projects with the professional edition . The standard edition can open projects saved in .mpp, .mpt, .xml, .mdb and .mpd format, local or on web (ex: http://www.mysite.com/projects.mdb). The professional edition can open projects saved in .mpp, .mpt, .xml, .mdb, .mpd format, local or on web (ex: http://www.mysite.com/projects.mdb), and projects saved in central databases, like Oracle and MS Sql server.

Download the evaluation version, run the exe file and follow the instructions provided.

If you install Project Reader on WinNT, Win2000, WinXP systems you have to be logged with Administration rights.

If you have Project Reader installed in your workstation, before installing the new version you have to uninstall the oldest one using control panel. If your older installation is expired you have to ask to the technical support an activation key to try the new version.

If you install Project Reader on Win98 or WinNT to open Projects stored on DBMS (.mpd, .mdb, SQLServer,Oracle) , if not found, the component MDAC 2.5 will be required (download it at www.microsoft.com/data).
