Dev teams working with JetBrains integrated development environments (IDEs) are set to enjoy greater GitLab support in IntelliJ IDEA, ReSharper, and Rider too.
GitLab integrations from JetBrains for GitLab Enterprise Edition version 15.10 and higher have been roadmapped to target various aspects of development, from basic operations and navigation, to reviewing code, configuring CI pipelines, all the way to building and deploying apps. Review support within the IDE is just an initial step along that path.
Configure your GitLab account for git operations and other interactions with GitLab as well as browse, filter, and search through the list of merge requests in the project. Future updates will extend support to earlier versions including Community Edition, the vendor says.

In the last month alone, releases included the new JetBrains ReSharper 2023.2, which enhanced support including for raw string literals and local functions, inspections and quick fixes for common Entity Framework issues and redundant nullable directives, new inlay hints and formatting options, faster solution loading, and the ability to easily create and steer through unit tests.
There's early support for C# 12’s primary constructors and lambda expressions too, with AI Assistant and a predictive debugger in beta.
For the ReSharper C++ release candidate, there's extended support for inspections, library modules and operators, as well as safe delete factoring and optimised blueprint indexing for Unreal Engine, improved smart completions and more.
New JetBrains Rider 2023.2 highlights include a reworked build tool window, customisable project headers, Find Usages Advanced functionality, multiple UX/UI/accessibility upgrades, background commit checks, better support for raw string literals and local functions and inspections or quick fixes for common Entity Framework issues and redundant nullable directives, as well as early support fo C# 12's primary constructors and lambda expressions wit optional parameters and faster solution loading.
In addition, the dotMemory 2023.2 release candidate offers snapshot analysis support for JetBrains Rider, and the dotTrace 23.2 delivers the ability to group call stacks by threat when viewing sampling, tracing and line-by-line snapshots.
