Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak began work on the Apple I in Jobs' bedroom and released fhe first single circuit board computer on April 1st 1976 from Apple Computers after being turned down by Hewlett Packard. Apple became incorporated in 1977 using a logo designed by Rob Janov that is still in use. The company became public in 1980 and developed the PARC operating system, the first for the public market with a GUI. Work on the Apple Macintosh began in the summer of 1984. MacOS X was released in 2001 following the development of the iMac.
