O&O BlueCon is at an administrator’s side during the course of a daily routine as well as whenever disaster strikes. Based on Windows PE, it offers a wide range of programs for, among other things, repairing systems, searching and correcting errors, restoring lost data, resetting passwords and the list goes on. O&O BlueCon is an administrator’s IT first aid kit for day to day use.

O&O BlueCon starts all programs directly from a bootable medium (CD/DVD or USB stick) and can so avoid the risk of data loss caused by overwriting data on the computer, which might be the case with a new installation. Seamless integration of all O&O BlueCon components saves the user the time-consuming job of collecting individual programs.

O&O BlueCon is available in the following editions:

• Admin Edition is person-bound, i.e. it is licensed per administrator and can be applied to all computers in the company.
  
• Admin Plus Edition also contains O&O DiskImage for backing up and restoring data.
  
• Tech Edition allows the user to provide a data recovery service to clients. It is licensed per technician, i.e. it allows a technician to work on any number of different computers.

O&O BlueCon - Features

New Features in Version 7 Starts direct from CD
The O&O BlueCon V6 starts directly from CD. Its operating system is based on Microsoft Windows PE enabling the use of a diverse range of Windows standard hardware, avoiding the need for complex additional driver integration. During the start procedure you can choose between various country settings, select network support and choose the operating system you want to access.

Expandable hardware support
As well as the numerous hardware components supported by Windows, it is also possible to integrate other drivers with the familiar look and feel of Windows. The systems supported include RAID systems and other mass storage controllers.

Windows-based interface
With O&O BlueCon V6 the user has a Task Bar, Start menu and the O&O BlueCon V6 programs, enabling access with just a few clicks of the mouse, and with no need for command line instructions. Navigation is also just like under windows, using mouse and keyboard. For execution, editing or creation of batch files the user then has a command line and appropriate editors at their disposal.

Full system access without a password
Without the correct password you cannot log-in to your Windows system. If you lose or forget this password, the only option left to gain access to the system is to newly install Windows. O&O BlueCon V6 boasts a superb User Management function for the deletion and amendment of passwords of local user accounts. The concise user interface also makes it simple to apply, rename or delete users. It is even possible to reset a password without knowing the old one!

Data rescue with the O&O RescueBox included*
Version 6 of O&O BlueCon contains the entire O&O data recovery portfolio: O&O DiskRecovery V4, O&O FormatRecovery V4 and O&O UnErase V4. This allows for a data recovery in just about any software related data loss situation, be it from a formatted disk, through accidental deletion or through a virus attack. Recovering data once considered lost forever is also possible on newly installed operating systems and in many, many other environments. Securely delete data
The O&O BlueCon V6 Start CD also gives you the option of deleting data, partitions, hard disks or even entire systems using technology from the Editors Choice - O&O SafeErase. This product deletes data so securely as to make recovery impossible. Using 5 different deletion methods, O&O SafeErase can overwrite data up to 35 times.

Restore the system
Restore your old Windows system with the O&O SRPManager function! With this function you can scan your entire system in the tiniest detail, and adjust faulty drivers or system services. With the integrated O&O EventViewer you have a clear overview of all logged events, allowing you to quickly spot and remedy any sources of error. The O&O RegEditor even grants you access to entries in the Windows registry data base.

Backup files externally
If your system is damaged you generally have very little chance of backing up your data. However, O&O FileExplorer lets you navigate through your computers entire file system so you can quickly and easily copy files from damaged systems onto external storage media.

Network support
With O&O BlueCon V6 you can also gain access to computers on your network. It lets you connect to other computers and backup data there, or to copy data from other PCs to your own computer. It supports a huge number of network cards and network protocol TCP/IP, meaning you can quickly and easily transfer data. And thanks to the integrated web browser, it is also possible to access the internet**.
