ERwin allows models to be derived from other models and objects to be derived from other objects. In the enterprise data modeling scenario the relationships between models and the objects they contain can be extremely complex. Jumar:Xtras Ancestry Manager allows the ERwin user to view and navigate these relationships and manipulate the ancestry information to assist with Impact Analysis and Change Control.
