Webroot saved their exhibition pod at the QBS Cyber Security Village

We are glad to have Webroot alongside with our eleven publishers at the Cloud and Cyber Security Expo event 12-13 March 2019|ExCeL, London.

Smarter Cybersecurity® solutions for the connected world.

As the first to harness the cloud and artificial intelligence to stop zero-day threats in real time, Webroot secures businesses and individuals worldwide with threat intelligence and protection for endpoints and networks. Here goes a quick interview with Mr. William Fletcher ~ Sales Manager EMEA;

How has the market been last year?

In its fiscal year 2018, Webroot was laser-focused on the MSP and SMB space. The company achieved double digit business growth and a growing customer base. It now protects more than 15,000 MSPs and more than 300,000 businesses worldwide.

What benefit will customers get from the Carbonite deal?

Carbonite values Webroot’s expertise in the SMB and MSP market, and wants to maintain our leadership and momentum. Customers and partners will continue to get the same products, backed by the same product and engineering teams, and assisted by the same award-winning support team. They will still be able to buy how they like, either direct, through the channel or from an RMM. Additionally, We see great opportunities ahead in building on current solutions and extending them to backup, data recovery and beyond through a shared ecosystem of partners. When surveyed, SMBs and MSPs consistently name endpoint security and backup?and?data recovery (BDR) services among their top priorities.

What advice would you offer managers in 2019 and beyond?

My personal focus for 2019 is on leading my team, not being the boss. When you allow your teams to take ownership, especially in sales, they feel great pride in their achievements. If you’re always micromanaging and telling your teams exactly how you would do something, they won’t grow and learn.

And What About Data Privacy?

QBS: With AI, users are understandably concerned about data sharing. How does Nitro protect sensitive information?

Nitro: We get it. That’s why we don’t build or train our own generative AI models. Instead, we use trusted, enterprise-grade tools via Microsoft Azure OpenAI, and your data stays yours. It’s used only for the task you ask it to do, and never stored or shared for training.

So yes, Nitro AI is smart, and it also knows how to keep a secret.

Try Before You Commit: The Nitro Pilot Program

QBS: Exploring new software takes time and trust. What does Nitro offer to help with that?

Nitro: We offer a Pilot Program that gives users full access to Nitro’s features, so users can test it out, experience the AI tools, and see the results firsthand.

And here’s the clincher: 93% of users who join the Pilot end up staying. That’s a sign that once teams experience what Nitro can do, they don’t want to go back.

QBS: That’s impressive. Where can people find out more?

Nitro: If you’re a QBS partner or customer, you can visit our Nitro landing page for all the details, including eligibility and terms for our current one-year free subscription offer.
