Provides data protection, disaster recovery and high availability above and beyond that of the VMware vSphere Essentials package. The Vizioncore SMB Data Protection Packs work in conjunction with a single deployment of VMware vSphere Essentials.
The SMB Data Protection Pack provides data protection, disaster recovery and high availability and works in conjunction with a single deployment of VMware vSphere Essentials. It is available in the following Editions:

• SMB Data Protection Pack Base Edition: includes Vizioncore vRanger Professional for data protection and vControl for high availability
• SMB Data Protection Pack with Replication: includes Vizioncore vReplicator for disaster recovery offsite replications.

Please note:The SMB Data Protection Pack requires proof of purchase for VMware vSphere Essentials or vSphere Essentials Plus and must be verified by Quest before ordering.

SMB Data Protection Pack - Features

Features include:

• Agentless Backup and Recovery: from vRanger. Perform backup and recovery without installing agents on each virtual machine
• Image-Based Backup, Recovery and Replication: automate the re-installation of operating sustems, configuration files, applications and recovery agents
• Direct-to-Target Architecture: from vRanger. Bypass web proxy servers and write backup data directly to target storage
• Replication Optimisation Engine: from vReplicator. Speed replications using change block tracking and active block mapping
• Active Block Mapping: reduce network bandwidth requirements by eliminating inactive or deleted data blocks from scans and transfers
• Change Block Tracking: use CBT capabilities in vSphere to transfer the data blocks that have changed.
