• Improved Archive Manager Full Text Index Service: The Full Text Index Service features improved performance of the indexing process by using multiple threads to process the message index queue and attachment index queue in parallel. It also features improved handling of Office document indexing.

• New Remote ESM and Administration GUI: The Exchange Store Manager (ESM) extracts data out of Exchange so that it can be loaded into Archive Manager. A new remote ESM installer and configuration editor are available to help you achieve faster data extraction if your Exchange Server is in a different location than your Archive Manager Server, and you have low network bandwidth between the two servers.

• Documentation consolidation: The Archive Manager documentation suite has been reorganized so that 7 PDF documents now cover the same material as 15 PDF documents in the preceding release. The consolidation eliminates approximately 200 pages of duplicated and superfluous material, while the consolidation of material into fewer books makes information easier to find. The new Archive Manager documentation suite contains the following PDFs:
  • Product Overview: Contains the same basic content as in the previous release.
  • Quick-Start Guide: Contains the same basic content as in the previous release.
  • Planning and Installation Guide for Exchange: Combines the Deployment Guide, Exchange Installation Checklist and Exchange Installation Guide into a single document.
