Adobe

Adobe Systems Inc was founded in 1982 and has headquarters in San Jose, California and with offices in North America, Europe, the Pacific Rim, Japan and Latin America. It is the second largest PC software company in the USA.

Adobe Volume Licensing Programme

Adobe Volume Licensing (AVL) includes streamlined purchasing, enhanced online enrollment capabilities and licence tracking tools. AVL replaces Adobe Open Options (AOO) 4.5; customer orders are converted into points that indicate the level of volume discount treceived for a particular order or within a membership term. Adobe offers a transaction-based programme and a two-year membership programme.

Product Pools

Product Pools are groups of products with a similar deployment model. Orders for products in Product Pools can be placed under the Transactional Licensing Program (TLP) version 5 and the Cumulative Licensing Program (CLP) version 5.

CLP

CLP is a two year membership programme that offers numerous enhancements with AVL. Highlights include:

  • Lower minimum order quantity required for commercial customers to qualify for CLP 5 membership in North America (and for education and government customers to qualify worldwide). The minimum requirement of 40,000 points in AOO 4.5 has been reduced to 25,000 points in AVL
  • New CLP 5 renewal policy: fewer points required to renew at the same level without a minimum order placement
  • CLP 5 Upgrade Plan proration of three months (compared to the current six months)
  • TheTerm Site Licence is available worldwide to qualifying education customers enrolled in CLP 5 in most regions.
  • Expanded CLP 5 online enrollment capabilities.

Enhanced Licensing Web Site (LWS)

LWS is the portal for tracking Adobe software licences. AVL enhancements provide improved login and password features and more automated processes. Qualified LWS users receive a unique login based on the user's e-mail address, and users have the ability to set and reset passwords.

Free Electronic Software Delivery (ESD)

ESD is included free of charge to CLP 5 and TLP 5 customers.

Upgrade Plan

The Upgrade Plan with TLP 5 and CLP 5 is a percentage of the licence cost.
