Localisation

Localization means applying country specific features into the program. The goal of software localization is to make the software reflect the conventions of the target country, in order to make the software user-friendly. Before localization, software must be internationalized. The two most used localization methods are binary and source code. Localization requires both software engineering and translation. Engineering may require rewriting business logic, resizing dialogs, etc. Translatable data also needs to be sent for translation. After translation, translated strings need to be integrated back into the software, and the localized software versions need to be built.
